I’m venturing into an as-yet unknown land with these pictures… I’m pretty sure I’ve never posted (taken?) self portraits before, other than the handheld variety. But with my long-overdue purchase of a tripod, I thought I should at least try it out. Besides, I was itching to take portraits, and had no model readily on hand. :(
This is where I work: a 21-acre orchard grass field just across the creek (swamp?) from my house.
FYI: This is a great way to cool off while taking pictures in the summertime. :)

This was way too much fun. The light was a blast to play with.
I could almost take my own senior pictures. (Haha. Kidding, Amanda. :))
I was gone on this “shoot” for over two hours… at times like these, I truly appreciate not owning a cell phone or a watch! (I don’t think Dad agrees though… he was worried that a mountain lion had eaten me.)
Happy days.
So what say you? Do you have any self-portrait techniques to share with a novice like myself??
those are awsesome shots..Loving that last one the most... and I truly want to live somewhere where I have to worry about mountain lions....
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures :)
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! :)
ReplyDeleteI think you nailed it - I mean, I have trouble enough with focus...especially at a distance. Beautiful work.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I really want a tripod now :)
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely. The light is wonderful. You're lucky to live in such a beautiful place.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! It looks like you were having a lot of fun ;)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Truly. They are all gorgeous, but I think the last four are my very favorites.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty.
