against the light
frame within a frame
Ummm… window frame inside the dormer frame? Framing the moon on two sides? This prompt completely had me stumped.
best part of your day
My favorite part of the day is from golden hour until midnight. I’m definitely a night owl! I’ve made a habit this summer of getting up early in the morning, though, and I find that I really like the freshness of the morning air too. Since I really couldn’t decide (and wasn’t really sure what a picture of the best part of my day should look like) I finally chose to show you the best part of one particular day. This particular day was Thursday, and the best part was right about 3 p.m. when my project of making some absolutely delicious (and time consuming!) no-fry doughnuts was finally over, and I got to test taste them.
buttons
I stole this idea from found inspiration for this photo from Teresa. Buttons aren’t quite as exciting as the wedding rings she was photographing, but I thought it was cute. If you haven’t seen Teresa’s blog yet, head on over… it’s one of my favorite places on the Internet!
ink
Archives photo, sorry. This reminds me of an animated movie my sister and I used to watch when we were little—“Country Mouse and City Mouse.” In one episode, they had to re-print an entire orchestra’s sheet music using their paws and a jar of ink. I always loved that part.
and because I can’t resist…
…you get to see a few more pictures from my “buttons” shoot. I liked the way these turned out. :)

What a beautiful job - I especially love your first two shots.
ReplyDeleteI think the Frame within a Frame is my favorite shot. But they are all great! I love how you did your button shot! How'd you learn to be so creative?? :) Love it!
ReplyDeleteInteresting photos. I love them!! You have a very unique photography style. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day! xxxx~Kelsey
Very nice pitures!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your button shots! They look kind of like lifesavers.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I was "inspired by" another photog for the ring shot! :)
I can't wait for your visit! Hopefully your sister and my sister won't mind when we start speaking photography language or jump up from the table during dinner because we notice that the light outside is just perfect. (Hey, maybe if we stay outside long enough, they'll do the dishes!)
I'm really looking forward to seeing my place through your eyes. I think you're going to open up a whole new world for me, Hallie!
I love your button/flower shots! So creative! =)
