 I see you.

You’ve been taken and trodden;
All that you are has been used.
You have done what they wanted—
Now you’re broken, confused.

I see you.

Desperate, discouraged, you think you’re alone
But I call out to you by name.
Look up! Fear not—surrender to Me;
Only I can erase your shame.

I see you.

The child born of your circumstances
Is not by them defined;
I AM Redemption and Blessing,
And your son will be Mine.

Then she called the name of the Lord who spoke to her,

“You are a God who sees.”
