Oscar is the king of the household, as always. He makes himself useful on the mouse battlefront periodically, but not in the capacity that Lenny used to. He looks pretty impressive though, eh?
His main fault is that he prefers to play with his prey rather than just kill it and eat it. So sometimes his mice end up getting away.
Lizzy has been very busy with her three children, but they’re getting bigger and her main concerns now are keeping track of them and teaching them how to hunt. The latter can get a bit rough!
Jane, in the meantime, disdains Lizzy’s domestic pursuits and instead has become the epitome of the independent huntress. Like Lenny used to, she’s constantly exploring, hunting, climbing, and getting into scrapes. One of her latest ventures has been leaping from the peach tree up onto the roof… and not being able to get back down.
She looks like a mini-bobcat—only she has a very long tail!
As for the Three Little Kittens, they had their first trip outdoors today! I think they found it a little overwhelming, but someone always came to the rescue when necessary.
